Last night’s meeting was focused on Second Class requirement 9-A: “Participate in a school, community, or troop program on the dangers of using drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, and other practices that could be harmful to your health. Discuss your participation in the program with your family, and explain the dangers of substance addictions.”
Scouts prepared the presentation, offered the instructional guidance and led discussion from the group.
Scoutmaster Farrell was absent due to a mandatory pre-planning meeting for summer camp held at the Cradle of Liberty Council near Valley Forge, PA. Our troop will be attending summer camp at Resica Falls Scout Reservation in Pennsylvania. Resica Falls is a 4600 acre scout reservation with modern amenities and facilities.
Pastor Ward prepared and delivered the troop’s devotional.
The Patrol Leadership Council (SPL/ASPL and Patrol Leaders) remained for a planning meeting from 9 PM to 9:30 PM to determine the topics and schedule for troop/patrol meetings during the month of May.
