Today’s holiday theme was MardisGras; therefore, the evening meal was inspired by New Orleans….jambalaya. A number of scouts suddenly discovered the salad bar in lieu of the spicy rice dish.
Following dinner many scouts played tether ball. Others helped build a campfire so that we could boil water in our dutch ovens (to get the encrusted goo out from where I over cooked the pineapple cakes.
Later scouts either went to night owl swim or participated in a fingerprinting merit badge workshop….the first merit badge for most of our newer scouts.
Tomorrow we head to fossil rock. Goodnight!
