Service Project – Painting Classrooms

Troop 113 was asked to paint two classrooms at Hackensack Christian School.  Despite short notice, several families showed up to clean, prep and paint.  One room was completed this afternoon, and another is waiting to be started.

Since we’ve gotten no response to our RSVP request for the merit badge classes on Monday evening, we’ll be focusing on cleaning, prepping and painting the final classroom which needs to be done prior to July 30 (it will be used in a vacation bible school program at that time.)

This final room will require a lot of work — blinds need to be carefully removed, window carefully masked and there are lots of corners and tight spaces where rollers will not easily fit.   Scouts and parents who are willing to help should come Monday evening in old clothes and ready to get dirty!
